Supporting you

Supporting you to take control of your health

SIMPSI is a connected, easy-to-use system designed to help you understand your health, know what matters, and take the right actions at the right time.

Bringing together your heath record, care plan, symptoms, medications, and support in one place helps you stay on track, recognise changes early, and manage your health with confidence.

Built using clinical guidance and expert knowledge, SIMPSI supports you day to day, helping you stay well, reduce worry, and feel more in control of your health.

“The app will transform patient self-management. They will help patients have a greater understanding of their condition and will be an invaluable resource for us as clinicians to offer our patients.”

Dr Simon Barry, Respiratory Lead for Wales

SIMPSI Health has been developed by clinical specialists, using NHS guidance and expert knowledge. Many of these experts contribute to the educational content and guidance within the app.

The information and advice provided is designed to be accurate, practical and helpful for most people managing their health. However, it is general guidance and may not apply to every individual or situation.

SIMPSI Health is designed to support your care, not replace it. You should always follow the advice of your healthcare professional, such as your GP, nurse, specialist or pharmacist, who understands your personal health needs.

More information

The apps are registered with MHRA as Class I Self-Care/Reporting Software. SIMPSI set themselves high standards for app safety, ensuring that patients using our apps are as safe as possible and any possible risks associated with its use are minimised.

We have a named safety officer who is responsible for ensuring the governance of all the content we put into the apps.

We also have regular review processes for our apps, to assess, control and mitigate any inherent clinical or system risks with the apps, and ensure they are updated regularly.

The process involves:

  1. Identification of the governance team, including the NHS clinical leads and key members of SIMPSI’s production team
  2. Outlining the Areas to govern, for example, contributors, appropriate terminology, video topics, and listing the items in each area to consider
  3. Assigning each topic a governance level, i.e. who needs to be involved in the governance decision, and how regularly these items should be reviewed
  4. Achieving appropriate sign-off for each item, and ongoing review of the governance map

The app’s aim is to promote self-management, not to act as a medical tool. The content in the apps is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. If you have any questions or concerns about the content within the apps we recommend you seek professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content of the apps.

As a company we commit to operating to the standards set by ISO 27001 and Cyber Security Plus.

If you have any questions, please contact us at support@simpsi.com we aim to reply within 3 working days.
